The hotel Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus is situated directly on a beautiful beach of fine white sand named Bayahibe, a little town of fishermen located in La Romana , Dominican Republic with direct access from the hotel. Bayahibe is a special place where nature's treasures remain unspoiled and the simple joys of easy living are still easy to find. The sand is white like a coconut inside, the coconut tress involve all the beach, the pristine waters are so crystalline that you can see the deep-sea. That's a real tropical paradise so you must visit this area sometime.

Step into this lobby and you'll see why. Life size cattle and horses of sculptured iron, and an authentic wooden sugarcane splicer used to make molasses, lend flavor to Dominican lifestyle. Furnishings in rich deep purple and mint green, tiled floors of lemon and lime mosaic and polished carved tables are part of this hacienda style entrance. Your eyes will pop when you see the three monstrous chandeliers with cherubs, hand tooled from what appears to be 500 pounds of silver for each magnificent piece. It is indeed the amazing creativity from a well known artist, who works with metal from retired airplanes. One of the tidbits of information, you won't commonly recognize on your own.

This attractive complex, which opened in December 2001, blends harmoniously into the landscape. In Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus the guests are accommodated in tastefully-decorated, comfortable rooms. All rooms are equipped with bath or shower, WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, satellite TV and mini-bar. Extra charge for safety deposit boxes. Balcony or terrace- 496 total guest’s rooms, 460 with two-queen size beds or a king-size bed with garden views and/or ocean views in three story buildings and 36 junior suites with ocean views. The Hacienda Dominicus offers five restaurants, three specialty restaurants with Japanese, Mexican and a Steakhouse, a casual palapa restaurant, plus a buffet restaurant with a huge selection of fresh foods and 'show cooking.' The decor in 'El Ingenio' will make your mouth drop open. Green mosaic tiles in every shade on walls, and Latino accents with color and pizzazz could almost distract one from the sumptuous buffet, but not quite!

The complex offers 3 swimming pools, a separate children’s pool and large terraces. Sun loungers, parasols and towels on the beach and by the pool included. Further amenities are the reading/cards room, access to the Internet, souvenir shop, boutique, supermarket, discotheque and the stage. Doctor (24-hours). Health center with fitness room, Jacuzzi and massage. An extra charge is payable for access to the Internet.

Guests can practice all kinds of sports: tennis, table tennis, billiards, volleyball, aerobics - they can even attend Caribbean dance classes.
